Asha meets the family

Now that we're starting to adjust to life with three of us in the family, we've begun to have visitors over to meet little Asha Ruby. So far, mostly family have been visiting... we couldn't keep them away! :)

Over the weekend, Uncle Mark cut short his business trip to Japan and Hong Kong to come visit Asha with Aunt Jalita. Grandma and Grandpa Morris also came down from Vancouver to meet and spend some time with our sweet newborn. Although Asha herself was more than worth it, the look on Grandma Lynette's face when she saw her granddaughter made it that much better!

Grandpa Colin was thrilled as well to meet his little princess. He already has big dreams for our little one! It was wonderful to have them stay for the weekend.

On Labor Day, we celebrated the fruit of Leanne's labor by having the Vander Puttens over. For Mike and Sam, it was their first time to meet the baby and play their new roles as uncle and aunt. In the meantime, Asha Ruby stayed awake just long enough for Opa to do a quick little photo shoot for the birth announcement.

After all that activity, Mama Morris and little Ruby need some time to rest and make sure their recovery continues well. For Asha, this meant getting her fill of milk before retiring to a restful sleep.

Glad to hear all is well and looking forward to meeting little Asha. Thanks for all the wonderful photos and the blog. It's wonderful to share in your experience even when we're not there.
